A lake house
We believe in the role of architecture, and the architect, in a society, hence the project for 2V House continues the research started with the project for the BLNDR House and then took up in the GRNT House, also in Brazil, in which the possibilities of claiming the horizon line for the public domain are explored.
The plot is located in the first row facing the artificial lagoon, created for the Piracaia Dam, in the gated community of Porto Laranjeiras in which most of the constructions try to gain in height to maximize views but with the consequence of covering the horizon to the passers-by.
Considering this situation the 2V project proposes a house organized in 2 volumes perpendicular to the street and floating over the most social floor of the house. The gap between the two allocates the entrance to the house allowing views to the horizon as we descend to the social level in contact with the ground and the garden.
