EXHIBITION – XVI The Biennial
The project Acqua for a floating eco-lodge conceived for the Peruvian Amazonia was selected to compete for the Biennial Award for categories and for the Biennial Grand Prize at the XVI Biennial of International Architecture in Buenos Aires.
The Acqua design has been selected as a result of the jury election to be part of the XVI International Architecture Biennial of Buenos Aires. The general selection of the works was done by a jury constituted by a special committee composed by Carlos Sallaberry, Roberto Converti, Miguel Jurado, Juan Carlos Fervenza, Carlos Dibar, Matías Glusberg, Barbara Berson, Claudia Faena, Valeria Matayoshi and Ana Rascovsky. Acqua was shortlisted from an array of national and international projects carried out between 2013 and 2017.
The works selected will be exhibited at the Usina del Arte from the 9th to the 20th of October. In addition to being exhibited through projections on several screens within the framework of the exhibition to be held during the biennial development will participate in the Biennial Prize for categories and the Biennial Grand Prize. The awarded works will be part of the second edition of the ON / Oscar Niemeyer Prize, instituted by the BAAL Network (Latin American Network of Architecture Biennials) and will be part of the international exhibitions organized by the Biennial. The selection for the Biennial Award for categories and the Biennial Grand Prize will be made by an international and national jury made up of the main invited architects.
The awards ceremony will be held next Friday, October 13 at 8:00 pm in the Main Auditorium of the Usina del Arte.
